Bob Steron joined Interactions as Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer in November 2021.

He is accountable for the enterprise security, risk, and privacy posture of Interactions and focuses on preserving the company brand, value, and market share while allowing business functionality and innovation to proceed without undue restriction. Bob has a lengthy and varied experiential background which includes information security, privacy, risk management, system administration, forensics, audit, governance, departmental management, and nuclear power.

Prior to his tenure at Interactions, Bob served as the Chief of Data Protection for CCC Innovative Solutions, an auto insurance data analytics company based in Chicago, IL.  At CCC, Bob operationalized both the corporate Privacy and Information Security programs.

Before that, Bob was the CISO and Data Privacy Officer for Kodak Alaris, an offshoot of Eastman Kodak Company based in Rochester, NY.  There, Bob built the Information Security program and, with the advent of GPDR and CCPA, developed the Privacy Office to meet the new regulatory requirements they imposed.

For 10 years prior to KA, Bob was a Security Delivery Executive for IBM, serving clients such as Kaiser Permanente, Disney, American Express, and Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty.

Bob has taught as an adjunct professor of cybersecurity at Rochester Institute of Technology, and has served on several non-profit boards, including Flower City Habitat for Humanity, and the FBI Citizens Academy Alumni Association.  He holds numerous certifications in both Privacy and Security including CISSP, CISM, CISA, CIPM, CIPP/US, CIPP/E, and is a Fellow of Information Privacy from IAPP.

He and his wife live in Rochester, NY with their two children, an awesome cat, and an adequate dog.
