Ryan received his PhD from Tokyo Institute of Technology where he focused on deep neural network approaches for speech recognition acoustic modeling, speaker adaptation, and voice activity detection. Since joining Interactions in 2015, he has worked on improving speech recognition for speech-driven conversational systems, development of speech recognition for new languages, and end-to-end approaches for spoken utterance classification.
