Shahab Jalalvand

Shahab is currently a senior research scientist at Interactions Corp. His research is mainly focused on automatic speech recognition, language modeling and natural language understanding. Prior to Interactions, Shahab was an R&D employee at PerVoice Inc., Trento, Italy (2017), where he developed algorithms to rapidly train ASR models for low-resource languages. Prior to that, Shahab was a researcher at Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK), Trento (2012-2017), where he worked on ASR quality estimation techniques. He received his PhD degree from ICT Doctoral School at the University of Trento, Italy (2017). He received his MSc degree in Artificial Intelligence from Iran University of Science and Technology, Iran (2012), where he developed algorithms to identify the regional accents and adapt the ASR models.
