Clermont joins Interactions with 30 years of experience at Fidelity Investments, Putnam Investments, PepsiCo and U.S. Army
FRANKLIN, Mass. – July 17, 2019 – Interactions, LLC, the world’s largest stand-alone artificial intelligence (AI) company, today introduces Mary Clermont as Chief People Officer. She joins the Interactions team to guide strategic people initiatives in the company’s next stage of growth, which will include hiring 150 people in 2019 with continued expansion to follow.
Mary brings 30 years of experience in human resources leadership at public, private and government organizations across diverse industries, from retail to financial services. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated success in all aspects of people strategy, from talent acquisition and retention to organizational design.

Mary joins Interactions from Fidelity Investments, where she served as Vice President of Human Resources and led strategic talent programs and innovative people practices for the retail business, making it one of the most sought-after places to work in any industry. Before that, she was Senior Vice President at Putnam Investments and oversaw talent acquisition, employee relations, performance, professional development, diversity and inclusion and compensation.
Mary began her human resources career working for PepsiCo on Pizza Hut, designing the chain’s overall management recruitment strategy across the Northeast region—but that wasn’t her first time leading a team. After graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point, Mary was an officer in the U.S. Army, where she rose to Captain, Company Commander and was responsible for logistics and maintenance teams supporting equipment and technical skills of the troops in her unit. Today, in her spare time, Mary enjoys creating experiences with her kids and likes giving back to her community. She currently serves as the Chair of the Hockomock YMCA.
