With 25+ years of strategic leadership experience, McCarthy joins Interactions to accelerate growth amid platform evolution
FRANKLIN, MA – January 4, 2022 – Interactions, LLC, one of the largest standalone artificial intelligence (AI) companies in the world, today announced that Cathal McCarthy has been appointed as President. McCarthy joins Interactions senior leadership team to accelerate company growth and advance the customer service industry’s digital transformation.
Previously a senior executive at Apple and eBay, McCarthy brings more than 25 years of experience in sales, marketing, and project management to the team. With a strong focus on customer and employee success, McCarthy will play an integral role in the development of industry-leading platform updates, helping accelerate a strong growth trajectory into 2022.

McCarthy is a seasoned technology and customer experience executive, having spent 16 years as a Worldwide Senior Director at Apple and two years as eBay’s Vice President of Global Customer Experience and Worldwide Partner Management. Most recently, McCarthy served as Chief Customer officer at Tigo Energy, and Chief Operating Officer at XSELL Technologies. He holds a BA in Economics and Sociology from University College Cork and an Masters in Economics and Finance from St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth.
Interactions has continued actively growing its leadership team in 2021, most recently announcing the additions of Anoop Tripathi as Chief Technology Officer and Chris Hughes as Senior Vice President of Strategy & Corporate Development.
