Pinterest, Slack, 1-800-Flowers.com and more join host Jim Freeze to explore AI at Home

FRANKLIN, Mass.,—September 29, 2020—Interactions, LLC, the world’s largest stand-alone artificial intelligence (AI) company, today unveiled an impressive guest lineup for Season 3 of its podcast The ConversAItion. Featuring distinguished experts from household names like Pinterest, Slack and 1-800-Flowers.com, the upcoming season will examine the many under-the-radar applications of AI at home.

A lot has changed since Interactions first launched The ConversAItion in 2019, but the widespread influence of AI remains a constant. Even at home, we’re surrounded by often-overlooked applications of AI designed to make our lives easier—from the algorithm suggesting our next binge-watch to the auto-fill recommending the next word in our email draft. In Season 3, host and Interactions CMO Jim Freeze will sit down with the people behind these everyday AI applications to examine how they work, what’s changing and where they’re going.

“In our first two seasons, we took a look at the many ways AI impacts the business world and society. But as we adjust to a life of remote work, learning and socializing, we knew it was time to zero in on AI in the  home,” says Freeze. “In our everyday lives, we’re surrounded by applications of AI, often without even realizing it. This season, we get to peek behind the curtain and uncover the technology’s role in everything from the smart home to remote gift-giving. We’re proud to welcome a roster of notable technology experts to share their insights on AI’s important role in our day-to-day lives.”

The episodes will cover a wide array of applications of AI at home, from the technology that powers remote work to the technology keeping us entertained. Featured guests include:

  • Adam Oliner, Head of Machine Learning at Slack
  • May Ng, Senior Director of Customer Experience Technology at 1-800-Flowers.com
  • Paul Johansen, Chief Technology Officer at Edmentum
  • Jure Leskovec, Chief Scientist at Pinterest and Associate Professor of Computer Science at Stanford University
  • Alex Capecelatro, co-founder and CEO at Josh.ai
  • Brian Solis, Global Innovation Evangelist at Salesforce, renowned keynote speaker and 8x best-selling author
  • Pascal Bornet, author, Top LinkedIn Voice, Forbes contributor and renowned thought leader, formerly of McKinsey.

“As we adjust to a remote-first world, Slack has become mission-critical for many businesses to succeed,” says Adam Oliner, Head of Machine Learning at Slack and featured guest in Season 3. “Companies are increasingly relying on our platform not just as a chat tool, but as a searchable digital history of all company communication. Without the ability to turn to the person next to us for answers, AI-powered capabilities like semantic search and recommendations have become imperative to keep teams aware and aligned.”

The ConversAItion was first launched in September of 2019. Highlights from Seasons 1 and 2 included guests from Adobe, ITIF, MIT Technology Review and more.
